Qwine 100 Competition 青田僑博會葡萄酒大賽

I am now in Qingtian, a small town in Lishui, Zhejiang Province, to serve once again as a judge at a wine competition.

Qingtian is a fascinating little town nestled in the mountains, well known for its overseas Chinese community. Around half of its residents have ties to Europe, having moved there years ago to build a living before returning with their earnings to help develop their hometown. This has earned Qingtian the nickname “Little Europe,” and given it a distinctly European atmosphere.

再度來到浙江麗水下轄的青田，擔任葡萄酒大賽的評委。

青田是一個特別有意思的山中小城市，也是個著名的僑鄉。這裡的市民有一半是歐洲的僑民，早年出國打拼，賺了錢再回來發展家鄉。所以這裡又被稱為小歐洲，有著濃濃的歐洲風情。

The streets of Qingtian are dotted with cafés, shops selling European foods, and wine merchants. A passerby rushing past you might be negotiating a business deal over the phone in Spanish or Italian.

What’s particularly intriguing is that the sidewalks and parking spaces are decorated with images of wine glasses and wine presses, along with the names of grape varieties and steps in the winemaking process. It’s a curious sight I’ve never encountered even in the wine-producing countries of Europe or the Americas

青田的街上，四處可見咖啡店、歐洲食材店、葡萄酒專賣店；跟你錯身而過的路人，可能正在用西班牙語或義大利語跟電話另一頭的人談生意。

特別有意思的是，路邊的人行道以及停車格上，都畫著葡萄酒酒杯、壓榨機或寫著葡萄品種名、釀造工序等等，這是我在歐美的產酒國甚至都沒見過的奇特景象。

To support its growing European imports sector, Qingtian hosts an annual Overseas Chinese Imported Commodities Expo and Wine Trade Fair. The Qwine 100 wine competition was launched to help buyers and sellers select wines, and I’ve served as a judge several times since its inception.

為了助力歐洲進口商品產業的發展，青田每年舉辦華僑進口商品博覽會以及葡萄酒交易會。而為了協助買賣雙方選酒，QWine 100葡萄酒大賽也應運而生。從創賽至今，我已經擔任了多次的評委。

Beyond its selection of imported European goods, Qingtian has also invested heavily in urban development and tourism in recent years, introducing sightseeing cruises and attracting international hotel chains. The local Qingtian stone is also one of China’s four famous seal stones, making the stone museum a must-visit attraction while you’re here.

除了歐洲進口商品，青田這幾年也大力發展都市建設和旅遊產業，新增了游船項目，也引進了國際連鎖酒店。而這邊的青田石也是中國四大名石之一，如果來到此地，玉石博物館是不能錯過的景點。
